Gecco Films is a subsidiary of Gecco Studio Complex, established in 1993 in Bangkok, Thailand. Initially starting as a recording studio, the company expanded its services to include a diverse range of creative projects, including video games, sound re-recording for live-action works, and animations. Over the years, Gecco Studio Complex has collaborated with major streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+, providing expert sound production services. The launch of Gecco Films in 2024 represents a significant step towards deeper engagement with original film content. At its core, Gecco Films is driven by a passion for storytelling, with a commitment to creating meaningful and engaging content for the film industry.
poj pitakjamnong / film director & producer
Poj Pitakjamnong commenced his career as a commercial film director, represented by Thailand's esteemed production company, The Film Factory. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production from Mahidol University's film program—a four-year international program instructed by leading directors and professionals in the industry.
During his studies, Poj directed and produced the short films "Death of a Legend" (2014) and "Lost in the Universe" (2016) under the supervision of Lee Chatametikool and Pen-Ek Ratanaruang. Since then, Poj has directed award-winning films, branded content, and commercials, including "Bangkok Rats" (2022), the anthology feature film "ABABO" (2017), and the critically acclaimed award-winning branded short film "The Ingredients" (2018) in collaboration with a diverse group of talented actors including Chatchai Plengpanich, Naphat Siangsomboon, Suphakorn Kitsuwon, Lalita Panyopas, Noppachai Chaiyanam, and Sinjai Plengpanich.
Through collaboration with Thailand’s leading advertising creative directors, the commercial projects he has directed have received over twenty awards. These accolades include being shortlisted for the prestigious Cannes Lion Awards in 2017, winning Gold Awards at The One Show in the USA in 2018, and securing the Wood Pencil at the D&AD Awards in 2020.
